Classic Club Sandwich Stack (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Bread and Spreads

01 - 12 slices sourdough sandwich bread
02 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
03 - 180 grams mayonnaise, divided

→ Fresh Produce

04 - 4 leaves romaine lettuce, halved crosswise
05 - 8 slices ripe tomato

→ Seasoning

06 - Kosher salt, to taste
07 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Proteins and Cheese

08 - 8 slices cooked bacon
09 - 4 slices cheddar cheese
10 - 8 slices deli turkey
11 - 8 slices deli ham

# Instructions:

01 - Toast all slices of sourdough bread until lightly golden. Evenly spread unsalted butter on both sides of each piece, approximately 1 teaspoon per slice.
02 - Arrange 8 toasted bread slices on a clean surface. Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on one side of each slice.
03 - On 4 slices, arrange romaine lettuce and tomato slices. Lightly season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, then add 2 bacon slices to each.
04 - On the remaining 4 prepared bread slices, add 1 slice cheddar cheese, 2 slices turkey, and 2 slices ham to each.
05 - Place each meat and cheese-topped slice, ham side up, onto the corresponding bacon, lettuce, and tomato-topped slice to form stacks.
06 - Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on one side of the remaining 4 bread slices. Place these mayo-side down on top of each sandwich stack. Insert toothpicks to hold the layers together, slice each sandwich, and serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - For optimal texture, serve the club sandwich immediately after assembling to prevent the bread from becoming soggy.
