Easy Homemade Pesto Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup fresh basil leaves
02 - 3 cloves garlic, peeled
03 - 3 tablespoons pine nuts
04 - 33 millilitres freshly grated Parmesan cheese
05 - Kosher salt, to taste
06 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
07 - 33 millilitres olive oil

# Instructions:

01 - Place basil leaves, garlic cloves, pine nuts, and Parmesan cheese into the bowl of a food processor. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper according to preference.
02 - With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in olive oil until the ingredients are thoroughly blended and the mixture is fully emulsified.
03 - Transfer pesto to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 1 week.

# Notes:

01 - For a smoother consistency, scrape down the sides of the food processor bowl as needed while blending.
