Ground Beef Potatoes Skillet (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
02 - 450 grams lean ground beef
03 - 1 medium yellow onion, diced
04 - 1 red bell pepper, diced
05 - 700 grams Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
06 - 240 millilitres beef stock or water
07 - 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
08 - 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
09 - 2–3 green onions, chopped

10 - 1 tablespoon ground cumin, divided
11 - 2 teaspoons paprika, divided
12 - 2 teaspoons dried thyme, divided
13 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder, divided
14 - 1 teaspoon salt, divided
15 - 0.5 teaspoon black pepper, divided

# Instructions:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and half of the spices, cooking until browned and crumbled. Transfer beef to a plate and set aside.
02 - Add cubed potatoes to the same skillet. Season with the remaining spices and pour in the beef stock. Cover and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender and liquid has mostly evaporated.
03 - Add diced onion and red bell pepper to the skillet with potatoes. Saute until vegetables are softened.
04 - Return cooked ground beef to the skillet. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard, mixing thoroughly. Adjust seasoning to taste.
05 - Sprinkle the dish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - For evenly cooked potatoes, ensure they are cut into uniform cubes.
