London Broil Marinated Steak (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Marinade

01 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
02 - ¼ cup (58 g) soy sauce
03 - ¼ cup (53 g) extra-virgin olive oil, plus 1 tablespoon
04 - ¼ cup (63.75 g) balsamic vinegar
05 - 1 teaspoon paprika
06 - ½ teaspoon kosher salt
07 - ½ teaspoon black pepper

→ Main

08 - 2 pounds London broil, flank steak, skirt steak, or top-round steak

→ Garnish

09 - Parsley, chopped
10 - Cowboy butter (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - To a small bowl, add garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until combined.
02 - To a zippered plastic bag, add the London broil and marinade. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, up to overnight.
03 - Take the London Broil out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking to allow it to come to room temperature.
04 - Preheat your oven to broil, positioning the rack in the middle of the oven.
05 - Remove the London Broil from the marinade and discard the marinade.
06 - To a large skillet over high heat, add the extra tablespoon of oil. When hot, sear the London Broil on both sides until browned, about 1-2 minutes per side.
07 - Transfer the skillet to the middle rack in the preheated oven. Broil for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (medium rare), or your desired doneness.
08 - Remove the London Broil from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
09 - Slice against the grain into ¼-inch pieces and garnish with parsley. Top with cowboy butter if desired.

# Notes:

01 - Use a meat thermometer to ensure steak reaches the desired internal temperature.
02 - Allow the steak to rest before slicing to retain juices.
