Maple Mustard Glazed Salmon (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 salmon fillets (with or without skin)
02 - ¼ cup maple syrup
03 - 2 Tbsp smooth dijon mustard
04 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
05 - Salt, to taste
06 - Black pepper, to taste
07 - Paprika, to taste
08 - Dried dill, to taste (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or lightly oil it to prevent the salmon from sticking.
02 - In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, dijon mustard, and minced garlic until well combined and smooth. If desired, set aside a small portion of the glaze in a separate bowl to serve with the cooked salmon later. (Alternatively, you can make a fresh batch of glaze for serving.)
03 - Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish, arranging them in a single layer with some space between each piece. If using skin-on salmon, place them skin-side down. Brush the top and sides of each fillet generously with the maple-mustard glaze.
04 - Season each glazed salmon fillet with salt, black pepper, and paprika to taste. If using, sprinkle a light dusting of dried dill over each piece for additional flavor and visual appeal.
05 - Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. Cooking time may vary slightly depending on the thickness of your fillets and your preferred doneness. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 125-130°F (52-54°C) for medium doneness.
06 - Remove the salmon from the oven and serve immediately while hot. If you reserved some glaze earlier, drizzle it over the top of the cooked salmon for an extra burst of flavor. Alternatively, serve with lemon wedges on the side for a fresh citrus accent.

# Notes:

01 - For the best results, use center-cut salmon fillets of even thickness to ensure they cook at the same rate.
02 - Try to use pure maple syrup rather than pancake syrup for the best flavor in the glaze.
