Apple Pie Fluff (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 can apple pie filling (21oz/540ml can)
02 - 2 cups mini marshmallows
03 - 1 ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk
04 - 1 ½ cup pineapple chunks, drained if using canned
05 - 1 cup chopped walnuts, plus extra for garnish if desired
06 - ½ cup sour cream
07 - ½ tsp cinnamon, plus extra for garnish if desired
08 - 4 cups Cool Whip, thawed

# Instructions:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, combine the apple pie filling, mini marshmallows, sweetened condensed milk, drained pineapple chunks, chopped walnuts, sour cream, and cinnamon. Stir gently until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
02 - Add the thawed Cool Whip to the bowl and use a rubber spatula to gently fold it into the mixture. Use a folding motion rather than stirring to maintain as much air in the Cool Whip as possible, which keeps your fluff light and fluffy.
03 - Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible. This chilling time allows the flavors to meld and the marshmallows to soften slightly.
04 - When ready to serve, sprinkle the top with additional chopped walnuts and a light dusting of cinnamon if desired. Keep chilled until serving time, and return any leftovers to the refrigerator promptly.

# Notes:

01 - This can be made up to 24 hours in advance and kept refrigerated until serving time.
02 - If using canned pineapple chunks, be sure to drain all the liquid before adding to the mixture.
03 - For a lower calorie version, you can use light Cool Whip and fat-free sweetened condensed milk.
04 - This recipe is very versatile - try substituting the apple pie filling with cherry or peach pie filling for a different flavor profile.
