07 - 1/2 cup olive oil
08 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Place the fresh basil leaves, minced garlic, minced shallot, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, olive oil, and freshly ground black pepper in a blender or food processor.
02 - Blend all the ingredients until smooth and well combined. This should take about 30-60 seconds, depending on your blender's power. Scrape down the sides as needed to ensure everything is properly incorporated.
03 - Taste the vinaigrette and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if necessary. You can also add a bit more lemon juice or vinegar if you prefer a tangier dressing, or a touch more olive oil if you find it too acidic.
