The Best Crockpot Turkey Chili (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meat

01 - 2 pounds ground turkey

→ Beans & Vegetables

02 - 15 oz canned kidney beans, drained and rinsed
03 - 15 oz canned pinto beans with jalapeños, drained and rinsed
04 - 14.5 oz canned fire roasted diced tomatoes, with liquid
05 - 14.5 oz canned crushed tomatoes
06 - ½ white onion, diced

→ Liquids

07 - 1 cup chicken broth

→ Seasonings

08 - 3 tablespoons chili powder
09 - 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
10 - 1 tablespoon cumin
11 - 1½ teaspoons salt
12 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
13 - 1 teaspoon oregano
14 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
15 - ⅛-¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey, season with salt and black pepper, and cook until completely browned. Transfer to the crockpot using a slotted spoon to drain excess liquid.
02 - Add all remaining ingredients to the crockpot: beans, tomatoes, diced onion, chicken broth, and all seasonings.
03 - Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
04 - Serve hot with your favorite toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or fresh cilantro.

# Notes:

01 - Regular pinto beans can be substituted for the jalapeño pinto beans if preferred.
02 - Add an extra ½-1 cup of chicken broth if you prefer a thinner consistency.
