Hot Honey Salmon Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Salmon

01 - 1½ pounds salmon (about 4 filets), skins removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
02 - 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon paprika
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
06 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
07 - ½ teaspoon black pepper

→ For the Hot Honey Glaze

08 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
09 - ¼ cup hot honey, homemade or store-bought

→ For Garnish

10 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Start by getting your air fryer nice and hot - set it to 390°F and let it preheat while you prepare the salmon. This ensures the salmon will start cooking immediately when it goes in, helping to get that perfect texture.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful marinade. Add your salmon cubes to the bowl and gently toss until each piece is evenly coated. Be careful not to break up the salmon pieces as you mix.
03 - Arrange the seasoned salmon cubes in a single layer in your air fryer basket, making sure they're not touching each other. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you might need to cook them in batches. Air fry for 9-10 minutes total, giving the basket a gentle shake halfway through. The salmon is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 140-145°F and flakes easily with a fork.
04 - While the salmon is cooking, make your glaze. Add the room temperature butter and hot honey to a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the butter is completely melted and the mixture is warm throughout. Then turn off the heat, leaving the saucepan on the burner to stay warm.
05 - Once your salmon bites are done, carefully transfer them directly into the saucepan with the hot honey glaze. Gently toss or stir to coat each piece thoroughly in the sweet and spicy sauce. The warm salmon will absorb some of the glaze while getting a beautiful shiny coating.
06 - Transfer your glazed salmon bites to a serving dish and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and fresh flavor. Serve immediately while still warm and enjoy the perfect blend of sweet heat and succulent salmon!

# Notes:

01 - These Hot Honey Salmon Bites can be served as an appetizer with toothpicks, or as a main course with sides like rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
02 - If you don't have an air fryer, you can bake these in the oven at 400°F for about 16 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
03 - For homemade hot honey, simply warm ½ cup of honey with 1-2 tablespoons of red pepper flakes until fragrant, then strain or leave the flakes in for extra heat.
