Smoked Sausage Cajun Alfredo (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta

01 - 8 ounces fettuccine

→ Main Components

02 - 1 ring (13.5 ounces) smoked sausage, cut into ¼-inch pieces
03 - ¼ cup (½ stick/57g) unsalted butter
04 - 2 cups (476g) heavy whipping cream

→ Seasonings

05 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic
06 - 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
07 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
08 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
09 - ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper

→ Finishing

10 - 1 cup (100g) grated parmesan cheese
11 - Fresh parsley, for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook fettuccine until al dente, about 8-10 minutes or according to package directions.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook smoked sausage pieces for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and keep warm under foil.
03 - In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
04 - Add heavy cream, Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
05 - Reduce heat to low and simmer for 6-8 minutes until sauce begins to thicken.
06 - Stir in parmesan cheese until completely melted and sauce is smooth.
07 - Add cooked fettuccine and sausage to the skillet, tossing until everything is well coated in the sauce.
08 - Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.
