Whole Wheat Healthy Banana Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Wet Ingredients

01 - 1 and 1/4 cups (288g) mashed bananas (about 3 medium or 2 large ripe bananas)
02 - 6 Tablespoons (90g) unsweetened applesauce
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 1/4 cup (85g) honey
05 - 1/4 cup (50g) packed light or dark brown sugar
06 - 1/3 cup (80ml) milk
07 - 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

→ Dry Ingredients

08 - 1 and 3/4 cups (220g) whole wheat flour
09 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
10 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
11 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
12 - 2/3 cup (67g) chopped walnuts

# Instructions:

01 - Adjust oven rack to lower third position and preheat to 350°F (177°C). Spray a 9×5-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray.
02 - Beat mashed bananas, applesauce, and eggs until combined. Add honey, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Beat until well mixed.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Pour into wet ingredients and mix until combined. Fold in walnuts.
04 - Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 60-65 minutes, covering loosely with foil halfway through. Bread is done when a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean with few moist crumbs.
05 - Let bread cool completely in pan on a wire rack before slicing.
